Rain changing to heavy wet snow, accompanied by fierce winds (>50mph) are possible Monday into Tuesday. Note that heavy wet snow combined with strong winds has the potential to be very damaging this time of year -- power outages, roof collapses, etc. So this has the potential to be a disruptive and/or destructive event.
The Denver metro area has the potential to see more snow with this one storm than we've had ALL SEASON thus far (~18").

Oh, Josh, you're such a tease to this snow-starved soul. I'd be seriously psyched to see a real snow here -- I've been here 5 years after 13 years in Boston. The winters here just haven't been nearly as fun.

frustratingly, the recent models runs show the storm track trending further north. Alas, the likelihood of any real snow in Denver is looking doubtful...
@bwyman indeed (see my most recent post). Alas. I'm not giving up hope just yet though. If 24 hours from now the models are still north with th jet energy, then I'll throw in the towel. Until then, I'm remaining optimistic...
